The data collected helps customers comply with environmental regulations and standards that protect human health and the natural environment.We will facilitate a hands on field demonstration of proper sample collection techniques to ensure sample integrity is maintained from point of collection to laboratory analysis.

Containers & Preservatives – an overview and discussion of the rationale behind the container types, preservatives and holding times for each parameter in the testing scope

Field QC Samples – a discussion of field blanks, trip blanks, trip spikes, blind knowns and equipment blanks.

Field Filtration – tips and suggestions on what parameters to filter and what not to.

Sediment – a discussion on the issue of sediment inclusion for organics in groundwater samples and the impact on data quality

VOC sampling for Soils – a hands on demonstration of methanol preservation procedures as required in Ontario.

Completing a Chain of Custody – review of what information is required on Chain of Custodies and tips and suggestions on how to avoid the most common pitfalls.

Keeping Samples Cool – best practices on keeping samples less than 10C post collection and how to properly pack coolers to avoid breakage during transport.
